What You Will Experience
Visit Crafty Cider's charming cellar door for a true paddock-to-glass experience. Enjoy complimentary tastings of their six distinctive ciders while learning about traditional cider-making techniques from passionate owners Tony and Lorene. Each cider tells a story of the English and French apple varieties grown right on the property.
The experience extends beyond cider – the property doubles as the SMART Animal Sanctuary, home to a delightful array of rescued animals including camels, horses, donkeys, alpacas, goats, and various chicken breeds. Visitors are welcome to meet these friendly creatures while enjoying the beautiful landscape of the Kunama Valley.

BITTERSWEET
Bittersweet is a blend of 9 different cider variety apples. A medium sweet delight. 5.6% abv. 330 mls
DROUGHTMASTER
A blend of 9 different English and French cider apples. A very dry drink with a careful balance of tannin and acidity.
ICE CIDER
Made by concentrating apple juice through freezing and thawing, Ice Cider is a sweet sipping dessert cider, 8.5% abv, 375mls.
NON ALCOHOLIC
Crafty Cider’s non alcoholic cider is made from 100% apples. This is the taste of fresh fruit in a bottle, 330ml.
OLE GINGER
Made from Pink lady apples infused with organic Queensland ginger. A warming full flavoured drink, 5 % abv. 330 mls.

Our Story - Tony & Lorene
Back in the ‘80s, two romantic fruit pickers chose the road less traveled and wound up passing through beautiful Batlow NSW, in the foothills of Australia’s glorious Snowy Mountains.
Little did Tony and Lorene know that they would come back to this special place to manage an apple orchard and raise their family.
Fast forward 30 years and the pair find themselves living on their very own 55 acres in the Kunama Valley close to Batlow, with their own orchard of 1200 French and English cider apple trees, handcrafting amazing cider and developing the Crafty Cider label.
The Crafty Cider family welcomes you to their Cellar Door from 11am to 4pm on weekends, you can buy Crafty Cider online and you’ll find them at festivals around the Snowy Valleys region including the world famous annual Batlow Ciderfest (in May).
